  I cannot put into words how frustrated with our experience I was. A storm seemed to be quickly approaching the docks at SWA and their only advice to us as novice boat drivers was to steer around the storm. We had a 6yo and a 4yo and four adults on board. While the first hour was rough we seemed to be avoiding the storm. However the waves started to pick-up significantly tossing us around in the boat, causing waves to crash over the boat, and into the main cabin area. Kids were screaming, gear was soaked, and we needed to make an emergency landing on a dock 25 minutes away from SWA. When we called SWA for advice during the crazy storm they continued to blame us and call what was actually happening into question. Thankfully some heroes at the Dollar Point docks came to our family's rescue and got the kids off. Kevin, George, and George's family will forever be our heroes. Kevin drove the boat back to SWA with me. However the SWA folks continued to believe that we were drunk and making bad decisions and that the waves and boat flooding didn't happen or that it was a result of our poor choices. It was Kevin who said he hadn't seen waves like that in years and that we were doing our best with what we knew. SWA reimbursed us for the rental but never took accountability for sending novice boat drivers with two young children into a potentially risky situation. I could not be more disappointed and angry. Thank you Kevin, George, and the Dollar Point team!
